EDUCATION (UNIVERSITIES & COLLEGES)

Higher education facilities provide a unique fire safety challenge. Various types of buildings and occupancies: classrooms, laboratories, dormitories, administration offices in campus design or urban settings.
Our engineering design team is familiar with the fire protection needs and problems facing the university or college administrator, facility engineer, as well as the appropriate architects and planners.
We have completed engineering and design consulting services to dozens of higher education facilities all over the country.
We often work directly with the college or university, although many times we have performed fire protection consulting to the architectural engineering firm, general contractor or sprinkler installation contractor.
Our experience has included comprehensive coordination with the myriad of decision makers throughout the planning and review process, always cognizant of budgetary constraints, construction scheduling, program phasing requirements.
K&E has provided fire protection design, engineering, construction management services on a number of educational facilities around the world.
